As an Independent Sales Manufacturer Representative at UC Plastics, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business growth and fostering strong, long-term partnerships with clients. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and engage prospective customers seeking custom plastic manufacturing solutions. Through effective communication and a deep understanding of our capabilities, you will represent UC Plastics as a reliable, customer-oriented, and quality-focused partner in the industry. Key Qualifications:
Proven track record in Contract Sales, ideally in the Plastic Injection Molding industry.
Demonstrated success with custom plastics-engineered solutions from concept to completion.
Familiarity with selling directly to OEMs as an independent contractor.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with plastic injection molding processes and the ability to understand and articulate technical details to customers.
Market Awareness: A keen eye for market trends and an ability to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events and trade shows.
Responsibilities:
Business Development: Proactively seek out and identify potential clients, establishing and nurturing relationships with decision-makers in various industries that require custom plastic manufacturing services.
Customer Consultation: Understand the specific requirements and objectives of potential customers, offering tailored solutions that align with their unique business needs. Provide product information, technical expertise, and assistance in choosing the right manufacturing options.
Sales Negotiation: Present quotations and negotiate contract terms with clients, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability for UC Plastics. Handle objections and address concerns with professionalism and a customer-centric approach.
Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to identify new opportunities and areas for business expansion.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the manufacturing process.
Collaboration: Work closely with the internal sales and manufacturing teams, providing them with customer insights and feedback to improve our offerings and streamline processes.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress toward achieving sales targets. Generate regular reports to share with management.
